Her wrists were slashed to the bone, and a kitchen knife was wedged in her neck, prompting him to believe she’d followed out her earlier cancer-related suicide plans. However, the truth is that she was stabbed to death, with roughly 55 deep wounds throughout her body, the bulk of which were post-mortem.

As if that wasn’t enough, Pam insisted on driving Betsy home from her mother’s house after chemotherapy the next day, despite the fact that she had previously arranged transportation arrangements. Furthermore, despite the fact that cellphone records show she was in the vicinity of Betsy’s house the entire time, she texted her friend “home” about a half-hour after she claimed to have dropped her there. Her recent insinuation that they were having a sexual relationship, as well as the fact that she was the star witness against Russ, helped to implicate her.
In July 2021, Pam was charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in connection with Betsy’s death, though the latter charge was later dropped in September.
