Is The Contractor Based on a True Story? ‘The Contractor,’ on the other hand, is not based on a factual story. J.P. Davis wrote the screenplay for Saleh’s picture. ‘The Contractor’ takes place in a world that is very similar to our own. Humanity has been put in jeopardy due to corporate greed. Throughout the film, James realizes that Salim did not have the mysterious ties that he (James) had been taught about. Instead, he is a true scientist dedicated to the advancement of humanity. His invention is a vaccination for the H5N1 virus, which is very contagious.

James obtains the tablet containing all of Salim’s job details and realizes that he (James) has been used to murder an innocent guy. When James returns to the United States, he confronts Mike, who has evidently been informed that James has died. The real motive for the mission is revealed by James. Whoever hired Rusty’s firm wanted to spread the virus, but Salim’s vaccination was getting in the way, so they decided to get rid of him. Mike, it appears, has been aware of this for quite some time. He agreed because he needed the money to support his family. He eventually agrees to assist James in taking down Rusty.

Many films have attempted to duplicate the success of those flicks throughout the years, with largely disastrous outcomes. A number of projects have attempted to recreate the trilogy’s shaky-cam action sequences, but in the hands of less talented filmmakers than Doug Liman (director of ‘The Bourne Identity) or Paul Greengrass (director of ‘The Bourne Supremacy,’ ‘The Bourne Ultimatum,’ and ‘Jason Bourne,’ the results have been mixed. ‘The Contractor,’ on the other hand, appears to be inspired by the Bourne films’ creative vision. ‘The Contractor’ is obviously not based on a genuine story, but it’s reasonable if someone believes it is.
