With a cleanse look Blackberry has launched KEY2 smartphone has been announced in the market. Yes, the company has made it since the Blackberry KEY2 passes through number of leaks and rumors. The device was unveiled by TCL, Chinese electronics company, at an event in USA. It is said to have Aluminium series 7 body with pro founding nature. Blackberry KEY2, first dual camera and most advanced phone demonstrated by the company as the manufacturers say. Key2 design is similar to KEYone but it is upgraded this time by Gorilla Glass 3 on top.
Blackberry KEY2: Specifications
The exemplary Qwerty keyboard is not left out and as usual is graceful. The keys are improved with 20% in size for easy writing. However the biggest highlight on the backlit keyboard is the new dedicated Speed Key. It is on the bottom right of the keyboard which let quick access to any application, regardless of the activity performed. So just hold this key down and tap any of the predefined shortcuts to instantly open any application. The device is supported with two speakers, and a USB type-C port. The camera setup (dual) carries two 12-MP sensors along LED flash at the back. One lens has aperture f / 1.8, 1.14µm pixel size and second one has f / 2.6, 1.0µm pixel size, and 2x optical zoom. At front, there is a single 8 MP sensor with f / 2.0 aperture.
The LCD display measures 4.5-inch with screen resolution of 1080×1620 pixels. Snapdragon 660 is the chipset paired with 6GB RAM and 64GB ROM. If we go through previous phones, they had proved to be milestone on focusing the privacy and user safety. The new KEY lock feature holds the private information as part of the phone. So, these files are only to be accessed via fingerprint, password or PIN. TCL confirms the two days battery life housing a 3360mAh battery with support of Quick Charge 3.0 technology. With Android O as the operating system, a major OS update is promised.
Blackberry KEY2: Availability and Price
The availability is in following region from end week of June with Black and Silver color options. In U.S., the phone costs $649 (Rs. 43,520) while in Europe, the price is €649 (Rs. 51,200). The Blackberry KEY2 variant outside the USA will have 128GB internal storage. With all these upgrade features, we hope users will follow the smartphone.
