Who is stronger — Mahito vs. Gojo in ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’

Anyone who is a fan of Jujutsu Kaisen will tell you that the world that Gege Akutami created and that Studio MAPPA is animating is filled with interesting—and frequently extremely destructive—powers and epic battles. The stakes are frequently quite high and the characters frequently face the possibility of death, which helps keep viewers on the edge of their seats. Even a brief flashback arc, like the Hidden Inventory, was enjoyable since it included exciting action scenes with unexpected turns that helped to introduce the new animation style.

You might also ask Jujutsu Kaisen fans who they believe to be the show’s strongest character, and the answers will typically be consistent with just a few characters. The vast majority of characters in the series would agree, without a shadow of a doubt, that Satoru Gojo is the strongest man alive. If you were to question Gojo directly, he would affirm without much hesitance that he is, in fact, the strongest. He emphasizes this early on in the series and undoubtedly possesses the talent to support his unwavering confidence.

But how would the cursed Mahito fare in a fight with the master of the Limitless and Six Eyes techniques?

Would Mahito stand a chance?

The response is: Probably not. Gojo may actually defeat Mahito handily. The underlying concern is how long Mahito could hold out alone against the sorcerer of exceptional grade.

Three different Reddit posts ranking the most strong Jujutsu Kaisen characters always position Gojo or Sukuna (with all 20 fingers) in first or second place. Mahito only reaches the top 10 on one of these lists, and that list places him alongside Jogo, who Gojo comfortably defeated in Season 1, Episode 7, in eighth place.

That is what Hanami, Jogo, and Choso sought to do in the early stages of the Shibuya Incident Arc, and Mahito would most certainly not be able to take on all three at the same time on his alone. If Mahito managed to last even 20 minutes by himself, it would be an incredible feat. Not to mention that Gojo can, if necessary, modify his very destructive techniques to avoid endangering the people nearby while still kicking Mahito’s team in the butt. In Jujutsu Kaisen, do you recall what he did to poor Miguel?

Gojo could easily use his Unlimited Void to overpower Mahito even if the sadistic curse used his Self-Embodiment of Perfection domain, much like he did to Jogo previously in the series. Mahito’s transfiguration techniques can be genuinely unsettling and unsettling, but Gojo is on a level all by himself; not many sorcerers or cursed spirits could hope to compare.
