Vivo, the Chinese giant, resulted first in manufacturing the smartphone with Helio P22 processsor. The smartphone Vivo Y83 was officially announced in China on Thrusday. Launched two days ago it comes with a MediaTek processor Helio P22 which is a mid-range chipset with the advantage of AI. The device is a mid-range and is now ready for sale through Vivo China online shop. The disadvantage is that it has no fingerprint sensor although it features a Screen Unlock using Face. Because of an intelligent processor, device can use best AI for developer efficiency.
Specifications of VIVO Y83:
Moving down to specifications, Vivo Y83 is a dual-SIM device and comes with separate MicroSD slot. Its internal storage of 64GB can be increase upto 256GB. As already disclosed, the handset is powered by Helio P22 which is a 64-bit octa-core SoC. It is manufactured by using 12nm FinFET technology. Add to this is CPU frequency of max 2.0GHz, 4GB of RAM and IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. A battery of 3260mAh battery ignites the phone while homemade FunTouch OS 4.0 provides the interface. The chip features Mediatek’s Corepilot technology, which provides power aware scheduling, thermal management and UX monitoring.
The notched display again enter the market with Vivo Y83 showing 6.2-inch IPS display with bezel-less sides. The 19: 9 aspect ratio drops the HD+ resolution of 720×1520 pixels. In the field of photography, there is an 8 MP front camera with artificial intelligence and facial recognition technology. To edit selfies, therefore its camera has AI Makeup feature. However, on the back we find a 13 MP sensor with a focal aperture of 2.2 and LED flash. Dual-cam Bokeh effect is another characteristic from camera. Another noteworthy point is that the device has metal body finish with glossy back. VoLTE, Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi (now 802.11ac), and GPS are connecting solutions.

The color options avail are Polar Red and Black while Aurora white is another available option. The phone in China is priced at 1498 Yuan ($235). The Indian prices for Vivo Y83 are 16000 INR.
