Chinese mobile manufacturer Vivo has launched budget smartphone Vivo Y53i in India expanding it’s “Y” series. It’s the cheaper variant of Vivo Y53 which was unveiled last year. Vivo Y53i price in India starts at Rs 7,990 which is 2,000 rupee lower than the price of the Vivo Y53. Coming in Crown Gold and Matte Black colour options this smartphone has Ultra HD camera tech and Face access (Unlock) as it’s USPs.

Vivo Y53i sports a 5-inch qHD IPS display with a resolution of 540×960 pixels. This device is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC, alongside Adreno 308 GPU. Memory options include a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB). On the camera front Vivo Y53i features an 8-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash while there’s a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfie lovers. One of the main highlight is the Ultra-HD camera tech in Vivo Y53i which can stitch together four pictures to create one with a total resolution of 32-megapixels. There comes an Eye Protection function which filters out blue light for relaxed viewing and reducing eye strain. It also has a App clone feature for better multitasking and a screen flash feature found in iPhone(s). This dual-SIM device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow (really vivo?) with FunTouch OS 3.0 on top of it.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS and Micro-USB support.
