Tom and Arthur, on the other hand, prepare for the Midsummer Fair and even manage to secure an elephant to display, causing a stir in town. Their hopes are dashed, however, when that plan falls through, and they scramble to find a replacement before disappointing the residents. Colonel Lennox, thankfully, comes to their aid and proposes a replacement elephant for the fair.

Georgiana waits for a letter from her Antigua workers, but instead receives a beautiful sketch of herself created by Charles. She confronts him, enraged that he did not ask her permission and claims that he drew a glorified image of her. Charles then assures her that he has only sketched his impression of her and that he wishes to learn more about her.
