As Andy strives to unravel her mother Laura’s stormy background, Mike, aka US Marshall Michael Vargas, becomes an unlikely friend (and perhaps a bit more). So “Do Andy and Mike End up Together?” The agent is initially mistaken for one of the numerous dark figures intent on harming the mother and girl, but he is eventually proved to be a decent guy who almost loses his life helping Andy.
Intriguingly, a different dynamic emerges between the daughter and the agent, one that is hinted at from the first moment the two meet. Do Andy and Mike ever get back together after everything they’ve been through? Although there isn’t much room for romance in the Netflix thriller series, there could be some sparks here. Let’s have a look.
Do Andy and Mike End up Together?
Do Andy and Mike End up Together? Andy meets Mike for the first time at a bar, where he kindly assists her in removing some nosy onlookers. The young woman, who is still early in her voyage and in dire need of someone to assist her in making sense of her circumstances, gravitates toward what appears to be a trustworthy stranger. Mike makes a passing reference to being a former military member, which is how he ends up teaching Andy how to use her freshly obtained gun in a back alley. At their first encounter, things become a little flirty until Andy notices Mike’s car and remembers seeing it parked outside her mother’s house shortly after they were attacked.
One of Andy’s many unpleasant surprises is discovering that Mike is not who he claims to be, and the frazzled protagonist flees in a panic. Mike appears to be following her shortly after that. Thankfully, he soon discloses that he is a US Marshall ordered to keep an eye on her, and Andy begins to trust him after some convincing. The fact that he protects her from an assassin who targets Andy in a motel room contributes to the development of their relationship.

Andy is on a wild journey for the majority of the story, so he doesn’t focus on potential romances. All of Laura’s subsequent interactions with Mike are frantic attempts to avert danger or learn more about Laura’s tumultuous history. The agent, for his part, becomes a staunch supporter of the mother and daughter’s cause and continues to assist them even when he isn’t obligated to (since Laura decides to opt-out of the witness protection program). Mike is almost assassinated by a mystery assassin (sent by Laura’s unfriendly brother Jasper Queller) during this process. Andy only makes it out alive thanks to his quick thinking.
As a result, Andy and Mike may ultimately resume up where they left off romantically only after the journey comes to an end following the dramatic season finale. The adventure they share, not to mention the fact that they’ve saved each other’s lives on various occasions, explains why they have such a tight friendship. We don’t witness them make things formal, but a cryptic chat that finishes with them agreeing to go on a date is enough of a signal.
Given how much they’ve been through together, their original attraction only seems to have grown stronger. As a result, Andy and Mike are very certainly going to end up together, and agreeing to go on a date appears to be the start of their relationship. Because Andy is no longer in the witness protection program, the US Marshall is unlikely to have a dry conflict of interest in her case, which simplifies things even more.
