Since its release in October 2022, the LITELOK X1 has proven to be a popular option for riders due to its angle grinder resistance and the ever-rising cost of bicycles.
Barronium, an unique anti-grinder technology with minute ceramic particles, is used in the LITELOK X1.
Small ceramic particles fused to the outside of the 16mm fine-grain steel shackle would cause the grinding disc to swiftly disintegrate or fragment if a bike thief had the guts to cut through the X1’s shackle.
I went to the LITELOk X1 launch event, where I and a few other people got to cut the X1 and evaluate its performance.
We finally made the initial cut through the X1’s shackle after six tries and six disintegrated cutting discs.
