Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Season 3 Episode 2 Recap

Shirogane asks Ishigami why Iino despises him during a casual talk. Ishigami believes the solution is apparent because he is the type of person who doesn’t obey any school rules, whereas Iino is a member of the public morality committee, therefore they naturally dislike each other. He believes he has been assisting her behind her back the entire time since she is constantly in trouble. Ishigami, on the other hand, is bothered by her lack of thanks. Shirogane tells him to be more honest with her because that is the only way the two of them would be able to get along.

Meanwhile, Osaragi and Iino discuss the same topic, which enrages Iino. She describes how she has tried repeatedly to make Ishigami’s life easier, but that despite her efforts, he is constantly condescending and ungrateful. When the four of them come across each other by chance, Osaragi and Shirogane counsel the other two to put their differences aside and become friends. They give assistance by assigning the two a series of missions in the hopes of bringing them closer together. All of them, unfortunately, backfire, making Ishigami and Iino even more enraged.

Later, because he has no student council assignment that day, Ishigami is asked to attend to karaoke with his classmates. They say that if he appears uninterested, it will be an excellent opportunity for him to meet pupils from different institutions. Hayasaka asks Kaguya whether she is cool with him going when he agrees. Kaguya, however, does not share her concerns and believes it is entirely OK for Shirogane to find new acquaintances. When Hayasaka describes what going to karaoke can lead to, Kaguya’s doubts win out, and she determines that they must stop him at all costs.

Shirogane encounters Hayasaka later in the club, and she openly acknowledges to others that she has been rejected by him in the past. She claims she is uncomfortable with his being there, but she also refuses to let Shirogane go. Shirogane grabs her hands and drags her out of the club when a random stranger tries to flirt with her and behaves inappropriately. He is, however, utterly unaware that Hayasaka keeps in daily contact with Kaguya via a Bluetooth device. She does, however, reserve a separate room for herself and Shirogane, much to the amazement of the Vice President of the Student Council.

Hayasaka, on the other hand, reminds Kaguya of the difficulty of seducing Shirogane and making him fall in love with her. While she was unable to accept the challenge when Kaguya originally approached her, Hayasaka assures her that she is now well-prepared and would be able to seduce her.

When Kaguya discovers what Hayasaka has planned, she rushes to the private karaoke rooms, which have grown known in recent months for indecent occurrences. She is taken aback when she enters a room with Hayasaka’s jacket blocking the interior view. Although Kaguya wants to rush in and halt everything, she recognises that doing so will make her appear stalkerish, something Shirogane will not appreciate.

As a result, she invites Fujiwara to a karaoke session in the same room, hoping that her presence will deter Hayasaka. Meanwhile, Kaguya can hear filthy voices coming from the chamber, which further adds to her anxiety. She believes it was a waste of time to invite Fujiwara because Hayasaka had done the inconceivable. Her suspicions, however, prove to be incorrect in the end.

When Kaguya meets Hayasaka later, it becomes clear that the noises coming from the room were actually Shirogane’s bad singing. Hayasaka just wanted to retaliate against Kaguya for making her upset, which is why she lied about seducing Shirogane, which was never her plan.
