iPhone X 2018 arrives on Geekbench

iPhone X 2018

Apple will release three new iPhones this year. One of them might be the iPhone X 2018 that came out on Geekbench. The new iPhones will be equipped with a new SoC, known as Apple A12 Bionic. According to the Geekbench, the new Apple device is iPhone 11.2. It confirms that the new processor is the D321AP while that of the iPhone X is the D22AP.

The processor scores are not so very different from iPhone X 2017’s A11. However, this may change with some optimizations. There are some differences, for example, the L1 cache is now larger at 128 KB, as is the base frequency that is now at 2.49 GHz. Previously we had 32KB and 2.39GHz, respectively.

The big improvement of the new hexa-core processor is in the graphics card. The score obtained on the Metal Score test was 21691 points which means that it is much higher than the A11 score which is 15005 points. It is important to note that this is the second graphics card from Apple since leaving the Imagination PowerVR and it really makes a big difference. The iPhone X 2018 also comes with 4GB of RAM, unlike last year’s model that had 3GB and will have 6.5″ Super AMOLED display. Apple will announce the new iPhones in an event that is scheduled for September.

One more update from Apple is that it has worked upon the new 18W USB-C Apple charger. Fast loading is already present on the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X. But, unfortunately the charger that come in the box is not compatible with this technology. The Fast Type-C USB Charging allows an iPhone to charge from 0% to 50% battery in less than half an hour. This 18W charger will also charge iPhone 2017 at fast speed.
