Bianca Rudolph’s Alleged Murder: How Did She Die? Who Killed Her?

Almost everyone assumed Bianca Rudolph died in a horrible accident while on a hunting expedition in October 2016. However, investigators looked deeper and concluded that she had been brutally murdered by her husband, Lawrence Rudolph. ’48 Hours: Murder on Safari,’ a CBS News special, dives into a story that has captivated the public’s interest and examines the circumstances behind Bianca’s death. So, shall we investigate what transpired?

How Did Bianca Rudolph Die?

When the incident occurred, Bianca had been married to Lawrence Rudolph for 34 years. Lawrence’s dentistry career required him to travel to Pennsylvania frequently, so the couple lived in Arizona. Bianca and Lawrence were big-game hunters who travelled to Africa on a regular basis. The Rudolphs were on one of these trips when tragedy struck. The pair visited Kafue National Park in Zambia, Africa, in late September 2016.

Bianca hoped to hunt a leopard there. Authorities arrived at the couple’s hunting site early on October 11, 2016, to find Bianca bleeding from a shotgun wound in her chest. Lawrence told the police at the time that it could have happened by chance, and they seemed to agree. While the body was swiftly incinerated, federal authorities ultimately concluded that it was not an accident, as the evidence appeared to lead to a homicide.

Who Killed Bianca Rudolph?

Lawrence informed local officials that he was taking a shower when he heard a gunshot, according to the initial inquiry. He stated that as Bianca was packing the Browning shotgun, it inadvertently went off. Lawrence assumed the gun had been left loaded after the prior day’s hunting. He called the US Embassy later that day to discuss funeral choices and indicated he wanted Bianca cremated locally.

The consular head, who later met with the FBI, believed that things were moving too quickly and chose to photograph the body to preserve any potential evidence. According to the investigation, the gunshot that killed Bianca came from a long distance, and it was improbable that she accidentally squeezed the trigger. A friend of Bianca’s called the FBI two weeks after she died, claiming she suspected foul play.

Lawrence has previously been verbally aggressive and had extramarital romances, according to a friend. She said he was having an affair at the time Bianca died. Furthermore, because Bianca was a fervent Catholic, the friend claimed that cremation was against her wishes. “Larry will never divorce her because he doesn’t want to lose his money, and she will never divorce him because of her Catholicism,” said the same acquaintance.

Lawrence also cashed in on multiple insurance policies in his wife’s name, making over $5 million, according to the inquiry. Lori Milliron, who used to work as an office manager at his dentist business, was discovered by the police. There were records of them routinely travelling to Mexico, according to the evidence found, including a trip in 2017 following Bianca’s death. Lori moved in with the dentist just months after the horrible occurrence. Lawrence was charged with overseas murder and mail fraud in January 2022 as the circumstantial case against him grew stronger, and he is now awaiting trial.
